Big-rig left chard in Newton

At approximately 7:30 this morning, Newton Volunteer Fire Department responded to an 18-wheeler fire on highway 87 North about 3 miles outside of the city.

The truck belongs to Greg Adams of Newton.

Cause of fire has been undetermined.
