Burkeville man was killed by a tree while working on his tractor

At 6:52 this morning, Newton County Sheriff's Department received a call of an accident on State Hwy 63 & CR 2120. 

When officers and first responders arrived, they realized that the victim was deceased in a pasture on his tractor after being pinned by a tree. 

According to Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby, the victim was identified as a 45-year-old man from Burkeville. The name is not being released just yet.
