It's been more than 2,000 years now since the violent death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Churches and families alike are celebrating this holy week with gatherings and celebrations all culminating in the blessed Resurrection Sunday church services faithful followers observe.
The Bible gives us hope in that if we would simply believe in Christ, we will partake with Him in the resurrection and have everlasting life! One such scripture is found in the 11th chapter of John.
In John 11:25-27 Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Such hope!
Children of all ages enjoy Easter egg hunts, and goodies. Many however also learn about our Lord Jesus Christ and His Resurrection this weekend. Several such events were held Saturday and dozens of people came out in celebration.
Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department had a massive fish fry and egg hunt Saturday! Dozens enjoyed their time with the department.
Trout Creek Baptist Church distributed many thousands of plastic eggs containing candy and cash!
Each child walked away with a mountain of goodies, and more importantly hope of an eternity with Him!
