Havard enters the Newton County Sheriff’s Race

A crowd gathered for Colton Havard's announcement at the pavilion south of Bleakwood on Hwy 87 on Saturday afternoon.

Signs, Tshirts and cards were on had for the estimated 150 citizens from many different communities throughout Newton County.

Precinct 4 Commissioner Bubba Powell introduced Havard saying, "We need public servants not politicians... who understand the meaning of dedication."

Havard said about the event, "It was a great turn out and I'm very proud of the overwhelming amount of support the county."
