DNA RESULTS OF HUMAN REMAINS AND SKULL DISCOVERED ON A SANDBAR OF THE SABINE RIVER: I want to extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all families who currently have someone missing. The DNA analysis process is now complete, and we have received the results. The human remains that we discovered in July 2023, along the banks of the Sabine River in Belgrade, have been identified. The victim was a Vidor resident, Wayne Ardel Ayers, W/M, 5’8, 150 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. Ayers was reported as a missing person to Jasper County Sheriff’s Office on April 20, 2023.
