Radar beginning to light up like yesterday’s Christmas Tree. Storms are moving NNE . Coverage will increase this afternoon into early tonight. Some storms could be severe especially north of I-10. Even in the Triangle strong storms will be possible after 4 pm. The Lakes area and Inland SE Texas will have a better chance of severe storms with possible Tornadoes. A Tornado Watch will be issued soon for parts of the area.

Thursday, Dec. 26:

Slight risk (Level 2 of 5) of severe weather, with all types of severe conditions possible.

Slight risk (Level 2 of 4) for excessive rainfall.
