Structure Fire on County Road 3008

Newton VFD responded to a structure fire at approximately 4:30am, at the home of James (Grave Digger) Elam, on County Road 3008.

No one was home at the time of the fire. Fire was fully involved upon arrival and had spread into the woods behind the residence. Structure was a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Trout Creek VFD and Bon Weir VFD responded for mutual aid. We appreciate their assistance.
