Woman arrested on multiple charges following one-vehicle DWI accident

Orange, TX On Saturday, May 17th at 2:29 am, a woman from Orange was involved in a non-injury crash on Hwy 12, at the intersection of Cr 4181.
The woman, identified as 33-year-old Sybil Meads was driving a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. According to the DPS report, Meads was intoxicated and traveling at an unsafe speed when she attempted to make a right turn onto Cr 4181, struck the stop sign and entered the ditch.
Meads was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Assault on a Public Servant, 2 counts of Harassment of a Public Servant, Resisting Arrest Search or Transport, and Possession Marijuana<2oz.
Meads bond was set at $51,500 and as of Monday afternoon, she was still in Newton County Jail.
