"Help Bring Him Home" Joshua Larkin’s Family Pleads for Answers as His Birthday Nears

ree

Birthdays are supposed to be a time of celebration — but for the family of Joshua Larkin, they’re a painful reminder of how long he’s been gone. On July 27, Joshua would turn 41 years old. He’s been missing since November 17, 2022.

That morning, Joshua was last seen by his mother, Beverly Larkin, at their shared home in Kirbyville. He told her he was going hunting with friends at a property in the Call community — a location known as the Cat Refuge, owned by Rodney Blankenship.

His vehicle was later found at the site, but Joshua never returned home. No trace of him has been found since.

“It’s not just about getting closure anymore,” said his mother, Beverly. “It’s about knowing the people in this community still care — that they haven’t forgotten him.”

Sheriff Chuck Havard and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office continue to actively investigate the case and want the public to know it remains a priority.

“We want the public to know we’re diligently working on the case,” Sheriff Havard said. “We’ve got several leads, and this case is very important to us. We’re doing everything we can to bring that man home to his family.”

As Joshua’s birthday approaches, his family asks the community to pause — to remember, to pray, and to speak up if they know anything that might help.

Anyone with information about Joshua Larkin’s disappearance is urged to contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office at (409) 384-5417.

Even the smallest detail could be the key to bringing Joshua home.
