Newton County located stolen vehicle and arrested two in the process

Burkeville, Tx- On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 4:57 p.m., a Newton County Sheriff’s Deputy was assisting Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office in an attempt to locate a stolen vehicle out of Deridder, Louisiana. The Newton County Deputy located the vehicle at the Burkeville Family Dollar Store and furthered the investigation.
Ultimately, both occupants, Rachelle Watkins and Oscar Joiner were arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Both Joiner and Watkins were transported to the Newton County Jail.
