Man Arrested for Terroristic Threat in Toledo Village

The following statement is from the Newton County Sheriff’s Department:
Terroristic Threat arrest in Toledo Village
On Friday, August 8, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Newton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the 200 block of Wildwood Drive in the Toledo Village community. The caller stated Logan Paul Anderson, had thrown a gas can full of gasoline onto the roof of his house and threatened to burn the house down with occupants inside.
Newton County dispatchers immediately dispatched deputies to the residence and placed the Toledo Bend Volunteer Fire Department on standby. A Newton County sheriff’s deputy and a Texas game warden arrived at the scene and began speaking with Anderson. After speaking with Anderson, he was placed under arrest. Anderson was transported to the Newton County Jail, where he will be charged with terroristic threat against a family member, causing fear of serious bodily injury.
