Newton County Sheriff Reports Arrest of Wanted Man in Bon Wier

BON WIER, Texas — On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 8:59 a.m., Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies K. Dixon and W. Graves executed an arrest warrant at a residence in the 300 block of FM 1416.

Deputies located Gabriel Witmer, who was wanted for a probation violation. Witmer was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Newton County Jail.

Sheriff Colton Havard confirmed the arrest and commended deputies for their safe and efficient work in bringing Witmer into custody.
