“Touch a Truck” Event Offers Free School Supplies in Newton County

NEWTON, Texas — The Newton Volunteer Fire Department and the Newton Revitalization Group will host a free “Touch a Truck” family event on Aug. 2 at the Newton County Fairgrounds.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon and features hands-on experiences with emergency and utility vehicles, along with free school supplies, hot dogs and ice cream for all children in Newton County.

Participants must show proof of county residency to receive school supplies.

The event aims to support local families and get students ready for the upcoming school year.
